Who Rescued Who?

No Bigotry Amongst the Domesticated
No Bigotry Amongst the Domesticated
The story behind this picture is this:
Every day – at the same time – she waits for him.
Sometimes she barks to call him.
He comes; they rub and greet each other
and they go for a walk.
They have done this for 5 years
and no, they don’t belong to the same owners.
The owners didn’t know until neighbors, seeing them together so frequently,
commented to the cat’s owner, who then followed the dog home
and discovered it was a distance away, not in a house close by or next door.
How it started no one knows.
Hate to say it, you cannot deny facts.
Animals tend to have a more peaceful, spiritual and non-threatening life than us.  That is until humans join in.
Cats and dogs alike for years have discovered what we ‘Earth Beings’ keep searching for: the truth and/or the meaning of our existence.  Seems that ignorance is not quite bliss but indifference to differences can be very illuminating and poetically just.
A shelter dog had been received once by a young not hip family.  Story tells it…’bout five or so years ago, she, this MUTT, encompassed lives in need of mending.
What did this brown dog do? She stepped in quiet, aloof and distantly careful to the touch.  She had been abused by none other than a dog’s supposed best friend, MAN!
‘Do not touch the dog, do not look the dog in the eye, do not encourage her to have contact with other animals and for God’s sake, do not ever, ever, ever, assume this animal can forgive far quicker than any human on this not so green planet.’
The couple, known as, Shelter Whores, had volunteered, worked and played in the environment known to most as: animal rescue.

Aware of the faults this ‘dog’ had.  They too had come with their own baggage.  Could it not be that ‘people’ can change?
So, with little regard for ‘things’ in the past the family began anew.  No one had history, at least not a history baring them from growing.
Five years have come and gone.  Family still intact.  The house is filled with misfits and castaways from society and shelters and powers that be.  Acceptance remains the only true piece to the simple puzzle.
What had this beaten down and confused ‘dog’ brought to the table?
Life is a simple idea for complicated people!
Wouldn’t it be great to have friends like this
always there, no words needed, they just intuitively recognize
the value of each other in their lives and act accordingly.
Live, Laugh, Love
Life is not the way it’s supposed to be. It’s the way it is.
The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.
A wise person once said …There comes a time in life, when you
walk away from all the drama and people who create it.
You surround yourself with people who make you laugh, forget
the bad, and focus on the good.
So love the people who treat you right, pray for the ones who don’t.
Life is too short to be anything but happy.
Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living.
