Lungs of the Mother

Lungs of the Mother…

I stand outside your broken and burning archway with ignorant charity in hand.

In exchange…we have replaced your inclusive welcoming with fiery threats.

As an accomplice, how many promises have I made…purposeful gluttonous lies?

I hear your rasp and rattles off an empty oxygen tank.

Breathing toxic-ly I tend to forget, forget, forget.

With the timbers of your heart ablaze…soon all I will remember is death, death, death.

Tropical forests presently cover about 2.4 billion hectares or about 16 percent of Earth’s land surface.
The world’s largest rainforest is the Amazon rainforest
Brazil has the largest extent of rainforest cover, including nearly two-thirds of the Amazon.
Rainforests also exist outside the tropics, including temperate North America, South America, Australia, and Russia.
An estimated 50 percent of terrestrial biodiversity is found in rainforests
Rainforests are thought to store at least 250 billion tons of carbon
Deforestation and degradation of tropical forests account for roughly 10 percent of global greenhouse emissions from human activities

Ancient Atoms and Bad Apples

Degenerate Nation..

May WE find ourselves in a northern town..down where the global winds blow.

Scratching a non indulgent thought.

And, so it goes.

May WE find ourselves surrounded by a decades worth of tainted snow.

Crowds of unique sameness under, our charred feet and doused by misplaced psalms.

 And, so it goes.

Could WE house ourselves together in a foreclosed bungalow.

May WE find ourselves enslaved by ancient atoms and bad apples.

And, so it goes.

May WE notice ourselves in the line up of nowhere to go.

Only to discover ourselves cushioned by the pantry or the bread line.

And, so it goes.

Unbeknownst to many you can get there from here.

Degenerate nation… repeat after me.

Hell is too well for the meek.

Coexist

Healing a hurting humanity starts with a sacred pause, to listen, to learn, to understand, to accept, to forgive, to respect. That sacred pause transcends the fear-driven brutality of the primitive human survival instinct and makes way for a thoughtful, intentional, peaceful, humane response. Peaceful coexistence on this lovely planet is not impossible. It is imperative. Our future, our humanity, our very survival depends on it.

1955 to 2019!

People always say that I didn’t give up my seat because I was tired, but that isn’t true. I was not tired physically, or no more tired than I usually was at the end of a working day. I was not old, although some people have an image of me as being old then. I was forty-two. No, the only tired I was, was tired of giving in.

You must never be fearful about what you are doing when it is right.

Nature by Bianca Stone

Maybe humans are the failed A.I. of Nature.

Maybe Nature made something it thought would tend the garden.

Maybe Nature made something sexy, to watch clean the pools with long butterfly nets

and a sunburn-the retainers of Nature.

Now, mirror of mercury and Hell, that hot-red bomb in your mouth, that sweet battleground on your tongue-

it is the catastrophe of your mission.

The wealthy, with their outstanding educations and custom shoes, and empty apartments floating above like Glinda; the ballad of media, the intellectuals, almost shepherding evolution, falling asleep in their haunted paintings and unattainable poetry-all the dimensions of each person’s being, punk, restless in a loop.

Sometimes I want to be taken into nothingness.

I want to be burned with the gypsy moths and blindweed.

Run to exhaustion with the wildebeest.

I don’t want this phone, I want to kill God.

Maybe humans are the complex systems of a natural order that must build and destroy itself in perpetuity.

Blue chicory on the road saying, the end of summer in a sandstorm of our passing-they gyrate and smile-what of our little duties to the architect?

Our deep-red blood our lush tech-

Archangels limping into paradise.
